Supplying the Bulgarian and foreign market with greenhouse products
Alt Ko JSC has a greenhouse in the town of Kresna and it has been developing its activity in supplying the Bulgarian and foreign market with greenhouse products since 2000.
The total area of the hothouse is 120 decares and, due to the funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, it was gasified, according to an energy efficiency program. In that way, the boiler rooms are modernized and it is easier for the greenhouse to satisfy its heating needs during colder months.
Greenhouse production of Alt Ko JSC:
- 30 tons of tomatoes per decare
- from 22 to 34 tons of cucumbers per decare
- an average annual production is approximately 3000 tons
Half of the greenhouse's annual production remains on the Bulgarian market, but the company has also established business partnerships with foreign companies, to which it exports products – mainly Romania, Czech Republic and Poland.
