Description
The history of Vagonoremonten Zavod-99 AD in the city of Septemvri began in 1941. During the years, the company has developed from a railway-carriage repair workshop to a plant, which has workshops for repair of passenger wagons, as well as a workshop for completing and repair of wheel-sets. Up to the present moment, this is the only plant in Bulgaria, which offers this type of services for wheel-sets.
Officially, the company became a plant in 1990. Today the company employs over 930 employees who have the necessary qualification and experience, in order to offer quality implementation of their work.
Vagonoremonten Zavod-99 AD provides:
- general overhaul and average repair of narrow-gauge freight and passenger wagons with a rail gauge of 760 mm, as well as passenger wagons with a normal gauge of 1435 mm;
- repair and reconstruction of railway equipment that is used for railway infrastructure;
- production of wheel-sets;
- completing and repair of wheel-sets;
- construction of a new hamper for four-axle open freight wagons;
- recycling and reconstruction of freight wagons;
- spare parts;
Vagonoremonten Zavod-99 AD has multiple certificates that are necessary to perform railway repair activities.
