Practical lessons
Besides the textbooks there are practical lessons. These lessons are held in an entertaining way. For example:
The teacher and the student(s) visit the local market to purchase grocery products. Prior to that the student is taught and practiced the necessary terms and idioms in the class. He/ she later uses them at the market. The teacher serves as a corrector or in some cases as a trouble-shooter.
The same approach is used for making phone calls by the student to deal with the usual daily errands. For instance: the student announces his/ her desire to contact his/ her spouse/ tailor/ babysitter etc. The teacher teaches him/her the appropriate words and phrases. The phone call is made in the teachers presence.
